AREL College

International Education Counselling

As the Guidance and Psychological Counselling Unit of AREL College, We carry out a systematic, multi-dimensional, and sustainable counselling program with the aim of turning our students’ study abroad goals into concrete and achievable plans rather than just dreams. Our main goal in this process is to guide students in choosing the most suitable country, university, and department by evaluating not only their academic skills but also their interests, career goals, personality traits, and life expectations in a holistic way.

Throughout each academic year, we host expert study abroad counselling agencies that are knowledgeable about different education systems around the world. In the seminars and information sessions held at our school, students receive detailed information about countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, European countries, and other alternative study destinations. They learn about application timelines, admission requirements, language proficiency expectations, exam requirements, portfolio preparation processes, and scholarship opportunities. In addition, students also gain awareness about important topics beyond academics such as university life, accommodation options, cultural adaptation, and living costs.

The process is not limited to information sessions. It is also supported by individualized counselling services designed according to students’ needs. In this context, one-on-one meetings are organized for students and parents through an appointment system. For each student, a personalized road-map is created based on their academic record, GPA, language level, extracurricular activities, and goals. Students receive individual guidance in critical stages such as university and program research, application preparation, writing motivation letters, preparing CVS, obtaining reference letters, and interview preparation.

Furthermore, awareness and guidance activities are implemented at different grade levels to help students prepare for this process from an early stage. In Grades 9 and 10, students are supported in self-discovery and identifying their interests and abilities, while in Grades 11 and 12 the focus shifts to goal setting, application preparation, and strategic planning. In this way, students are fully prepared to manage the process by the time they reach their final year.

In addition to all these academic efforts, equal importance is given to students’ emotional and psychological readiness. Guidance activities are also conducted on topics such as adapting to a new country, developing independent living skills, coping with cultural differences, and self-regulation skills, ensuring the overall development of our students.

As AREL College, our primary goal is to guide our students in becoming individuals who can recognize global educational opportunities, make informed choices in line with their interests and potential, act in a planned manner, and adapt to the ever-changing conditions of the world. In line with this goal, our international university counseling program aims not only to support students in gaining admission to a university but also to equip them with lifelong decision-making and career planning skills.
