MYP Personal Project Activities

The Personal Project, which is the final stage of the MYP, is a comprehensive study where students show their ability to do independent research, manage a process, and create a product based on their own interests. This project starts at the end of Grade 9 and continues until the second term of Grade 10. In the Personal Project, students choose a topic they are interested in and use their research, planning, and production skills to create an original project. They present their work with an academic report. During the process, each student works with a supervisor teacher selected from the school staff. Completed projects are carefully assessed according to IB criteria, and the results are sent to the IB assessment center in Cardiff, UK. This project is considered a strong reference, especially for university applications abroad, as it shows the student’s academic ability and experience with an internationally recognized research process.

A Strong Advantage for Studying Abroad: The Personal Project provides important benefits for students applying to top universities abroad:

  • Academic Maturity: It shows that the student can manage a project independently from start to finish.
  • A Strong Portfolio: Universities see the Personal Project as clear evidence of a student’s passion and intellectual curiosity.
  • Standing Out Globally: It helps students stand out by proving they have completed an internationally recognized research process.

An International Qualification: MYP Certificate
One of the most important outcomes of the MYP is the International MYP Certificate. This certificate proves that the student’s academic success meets globally recognized IB standards.

Through this process, students show not only their academic success but also that they are part of an international education system. The certificate is strong evidence of their commitment to academic discipline and their successful completion of an international curriculum.
